Our Story
Copper Pointe Church has been built on the vision to lead people to an extraordinary God. Pastors Galen and Kay Woodward and the staff at CPC have a passion to express Christ through creative means. God has brought together an incredible team to express His love in practical, tangible ways. Community outreaches and mission’s projects are just a couple of the ways that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is shared with countless individuals. Filled with compassion and offering hope to the lost, hurting, and wandering, CPC is leading people to and extraordinary God.
About Pastors Galen & Kay Woodward
Galen and his wife Kay came to Copper Pointe Church in 1981 to start a youth ministry that would grow to become one of the largest in the southwest. After serving for 12 years in that capacity Pastor Galen became the Senior Pastor, bringing to his new position a vision that would serve the church, the surrounding communities, and the world for the many years to follow. His practical and life applicable teaching is a facet of his ministry that helps define Copper Pointe Church. His experience and wisdom, coupled with continual passion and excitement, propel us forward to reach beyond our walls into our city, across the border, and around the world.
He and Kay, along with their three sons, are the heartbeat of all that takes place at CPC. They encourage others by their dedication and commitment to the work God is doing. Their passion for the days to come brings life and excitement for the future as we continue leading people to an extraordinary God.
